Hey All,
Was wondering in your opinions, what do you think is the best AMeX card revolver, and obviously a brief reason as to why wouldn't hurt either.
Also in your opinion (strictly AMeX revolvers):
Best rewards card?
Best no AF revolver?
Best sign up bonus?
there is no best. that said you already have a decent one. 1 pt, n/c fico and it will grow if you use it. there is nothing wrong with it esp getting a 25K bonus that is floating around. my personal choice is the blue +, non-reporting tl, 2 pt and the 20k/$3k is good enough. no ein required. what are you lacking or looking for? cards should serve a purpose, nothing wrong with wanting a bonus or to have padding but just getting a card to have another makes no sense to me.
My only answer to anyone asking 'best' in a title is to write this response: there is no best, and anyone assuming there is will be sorely disappointed as 'best' is YMMV.
Best is really subjective. What are you looking for? Do you want travel perks? Do you want rewards points? Do you want cash back? Do you want to pay an annual fee? Do you value simplicity? Do you want a low APR or BT offer?
However, if I had to give my opinion, I'd say that I think the SPG card is a really great value right now (even at its lowered SUB). However, I love my BCP for weekly grocceries. Their Delta cards are also easy to get and have a good SUB and perks (free luggage, priority boarding, etc).
I'd say the best sign-up bonus, and, depending on your needs, the best rewards card... probably the SPG with the incognito 30k offer. Valuable and flexible points. Future of SPG remains uncertain, though the program should be unchanged until late 2018 I think?
Runner-up for sign-up bonus: Current Delta offerings, though that is also very dependent upon your closest airport.
I think the best no AF revolver is the Blue Business+. 2 MR for every dollar spent up to $50k. And (depending on usage), you may find it better than the SPG.
It really depends on your life style. For us at the backwood's house we have Blue Cash Pref, we can go over the limit for grocery so we also have the Blue Cash for when we go over the limit.
Starwood Preferred Guest Card is the best Amex card hands down.
