Thanks for the info in this thread! I just received the Paypal 2% Mastercard from Synch. And I will be using the CS telephone number here to ask for a CLI.

I have a follow-up to the OP question.  Can this number be used to ask for CLI at the time of activation? And if so, how amenable is Synch to granting CLI at activation? If not very amenable, how long should one wait before requesting the first CLI?

Edited to Add: I reread the original post. And I think the OP answered my question. Have others had different experiences?

I called CS literally 30 seconds after appying for my Lowe's card (well before receiving the card, which I believe arrived already activated), asked for $25k and they countered with $17k.  (Later got my $25k with old version of LUV button.)

I was approved for the Paypal 2% card last month and yup the cashback comes with the statement and you can easily transfer it to your Paypal account. I'm absolutely loving the Paypal card so far.

Re: Best option for a Synchrony CLI?

ItsPossy, you can always try when you get the card! If you dont get it dont get discouraged, try again after a statement cut, still no go, give it another or 2. Some times you can mix it up. Hit the button for giggles, other times chat for charitySmiley Wink. Just know as TU rises, so does ones confidenceSmiley Happy

@K-in-Boston Good info! Thanks for the datapoint. Think I might just call and see what happens.

@Crestfallen  Good info. Thanks!

@AJC  Thanks!! I will try it out. And I'm sure that getting the CLI will eventually be POSSIBLE. Smiley Wink

Re: Best option for a Synchrony CLI?

Sasha123, fyi the only monthly credit service i pay, more out of convience and since other services arent viewable with my reports frozen, is one from TU that allows me to lock and unlock my TU at will. Yeah it cost 19.95 and offers only Vantage score but since alot of my credit uses TU, ie Sync, i like it. The service now allows you to lock and unlock EQ but im not sure how thats working after the Equihack. I cant activate this part because my Eq is frozen. Just a fyiSmiley Happy
