Why would you call DoorDash? I've used DoorDash more times than I care to admit as such I've had plenty of missing items, mistaken orders, bad orders etc. Only once have I ever called them, and that was because my driver went above and beyond after the restaraunt **bleep**ed up and I wanted to increase the tip. When you have an issue with DoorDash you go to the orders tab in the app, you click help, you click issues with my order, you select the items that had the issue and you select the box for what the issue was, you can write down what the issue is, and it literally automatically refunds you without you having to do anything or talk to anyone. I've even had the entire wrong order arrive once and they refunded the entire order when I selected this. Their refund system is so relaxed that people literally abuse it for free food(I don't).
Something just seems off here.

You acknowledge and agree that DoorDash does not itself prepare food or offer delivery services, and has no responsibility or liability for the acts or omissions of any Merchant or any Contractor. Merchant is the retailer; the services offered by DoorDash pursuant to this Agreement do not include any retail services or any food preparation services. DoorDash is not in the delivery business nor is it a common carrier. DoorDash provides a technology platform facilitating the transmission of orders by Users to Merchants for pickup or delivery by Contractors. DoorDash will not assess or guarantee the suitability, legality or ability of any Contractor or Merchant. You agree that DoorDash is not responsible for the Merchants’ food preparation or the safety of the food or whether the photographs or images displayed through the Services accurately reflect the food prepared by the Merchants and/or delivered by the Contractor, and does not verify Merchants’ compliance with applicable laws or regulations. This is a great example of the consumer risks of third party services such as Door Dash. The consumer is left with little recourse when everyone passes the buck for responsibility. If a consumer ordered directly from a local restaurant, perhaps Bank of America would have reacted differently. In any case, placing blame on the bank for a Door Dash dispute is inappropriate.
I would suggest reopening the claim with Door Dash. Otherwise, the only other real option at this point is to treat this as a learning experience, not for what to expect from Bank of America but what to expect from Door Dash and that particular restaurant. So I would take my business elsewhere.
Wow, they are well covered! Most people who have heard of doordash would probably call it a food delivery service but no, it's merely a technology platform that connects, without guaranteeing legality of the transaction or safety of the product. And I guess users all pressed Accept at some point!
I assume the competitors are similarly covered. Anyone with deep pockets want to challenge the legality of this? Some creative tie-in to employee vs contractor argument which DD lost in MA and won in CA?
So maybe forgo the convenience and deal with restaurants directly? But I guess most responses here say that DD usually is helpful

I have Amex cards for many years...I disputed many transactions at least 200 times, and trust me all disputes were resolved within a few hours in my favor, and all those disputes were over $100...highest one was for $700...Same thing with Chase...disputed at least 40 times in 9 yrs...all disputes were over $100, and highest one was $3k.....Same thing with Discover in 11 yrs...highest dispute was $900......and BOA denied me for $32 and
Are all those 240+ disputes with other lenders in your favor?

A lot of app delivery services are, or have features that are, technically illegal in some areas. The legal strategy is essentially, "Make people come to depend on our services now, and force state and local governments into legalizing our business on our terms later."
As far as restaurant economics, last I checked restaurants got about 60% of the price of the food before fees. So if a customer buys food priced at $20 and pays another $8 or whatever in tips and fees, of that $28 about $12 may actually go to the restaurant. So they may not be super fussy about providing quality ingredient (or a full portion size) on an order they're barely breaking even on.
*I'd add that in my experience of contacting Uber Eats, I've always gotten a refund for a missing or incomplete item...but I did not get a refund for a correct order having spoiled when the delivery guy took two hours to drive less than 3 miles.
Sorry...you had me until I read that you had over 240 disputes on Amex and Chase alone. Something's really off here. I had to stop reading.
Agree. Hard to believe literally. I assume the 240 disputes has to be some unrealistic exaggeration but then there goes the claiment's credibility. I am in my mid/late 40s, I've had CCs since I was 18, and I have done a handful of disputes but I don't think I have even reached double digits total.

With all due respect, the talking point is not about how many disputes I have filed in my life...or comparing number of disputes you filed with me...or getting shocked given the number of disputes I have filed so far...rather the talking point is about DD and BOA having denied my dispute for a rotten food even though I have never ever filed any dispute with them before.
Nevertheless, you are welcome and free to talk anything as you wish. Thank you.

No, the whole point is that your beef (pun slightly intended) is with restaurant, not Doordash or Bank Of America
As far as most of us referencing number of disputes, it's an insane number, even if spanned over two decades, so it's quite natural an eyebrow or two (semi-intenional pun) are raised.
There is a *thing* called "Buy now, dispute later" so when someone starts talking about such a high number, it's easy to see where the assumptions would be "This must be the most unfortunate person when it comes to shopping" and/or "This is sketchy"
I don't really think you should take offense, what you said makes you dispute outlier.
If the food doest not kill you, The disputes will.
