i did get a hard pull when i opened my BML account back in july, but it dropped off on its own about 4 months later (as did several other EQ inquiries, strangely enough)
*sigh* I just tried calling again with a different rep, explained what happened and she too said no.
I'm wondering now if they will actually be removing mine. I'm also wondering what their verification method is if they only use the last 4 numbers of your ss and don't ask for income?
That's what I'm thinking too!

So were you approved or declined, ArisGreek?
Oh I got approved for a hefty line of credit, I can't complain in that sense, but I was misled by not one, but 3 reps. Plus all of the different information. Albeit, this is my only inquiry aside from Nordstrom last year from this time (and it doesn't count anymore), I'm just a little annoyed. It's the principle.
Why are you stuck on the full SSN vs. last 4 thing?
It's not even necessary for a furnisher to have the SSN at all to pull a report (and thus place a hard inquiry). The SSN is just one of the most common identifiers the furnisher will use to locate the proper report.
Collection Agencies pull reports with hard inquiries all the time with nothing more than a name and address.
Work with the fact that mutltiple reps misinformed you.
Just used this option when buying a computer case at Newegg. Didn't think they would approve me but they did. My credit line is "at least $500" - my scores are in the low to mid 600s. No comment on the inquiry yet. I'll refresh USAA tomorrow and see what happens.
Can anyone explain experiences with this "at least" thing?
Anyone have a $5K plus or $10K plus BML account?
If so..how long have you had the account open?
How much do you spend annually to get a CL like that?
Thanks in advance......
Hey there Texans, my DH opened a BML in Aug & they automatically gave him a $5000 limit, his FICO score is around EQ-680, that whom they pulled with.
