Image on the BoA site is now showing the Cash Rewards as a Master Card now instead of a Visa. Wonder if TR will be going that way too. Mine is a World MC from 2015, but requested the change over from a Visa. Maybe useful for someone looking for a MC for some reason.
I was strongly considering this card to app around May, because I was looking for a Visa Network cash rewards card. But I guess that won't be happening anymore with the recent migration to the MC network.

BoA is good with converting networks. I did this to my card a couple years ago. If they are still offering Visa products in some regard, you should be able to make the switch. It does take 2-4 weeks to complete.

Thank you for the additional info MrPTato. I was getting their Pre-Selected offers with a single APR last year for 3 consecutive months, till Sept. then they stopped sending after that. I was waiting for a lower APR and I was holding off on adding any new accounts till this year to age of the accounts I added last year. Hopefully when May comes, I could just call in to app and specify that I want a Visa Network card. Perhaps they can already process the application for the network I want.
Interesting to note that window advertising at local BoAs in NYC had the MasterCard logo for about a month now.
Interesting. I logged into the BoA website and went to their page of cash-back cards. The Cash Rewards card now shows as a MC, but the Premium Rewards card is still a Visa, as are some of the co-branded/specialty variants of the Cash Rewards, like the Susan G. Komen, World Wildlife Fund and US Pride are still showing as Visa. The MLB version is a MC as well.
I've toyed with PCing my old Rewards Visa over to the Cash Back version, maybe later in the year or next year, since I'm gardening right now. Not that I really care if it's a MC or Visa.
I've had a regular/standard BoA Cash Rewards WMC since 2007 (originally a BoA Platinum Plus WorldPoints MC). AFAIK, they were available to get even back then, but were much less common to have than the Cash Rewards VISA. Please note that I am referring here to the standard-red color design for the MC, not to the other MC versions such as the MLB card, etc.
When applying for the core BoA products (BankAmericard, Travel Rewards, Cash Rewards) you can request your preference of MasterCard or Visa when applying over the phone or in person. Most of their cards (since Cash Rewards also hides as a 3-2-1 card in many flavors) are available on either network.
Has anybody got or recently converted BOA premium rewards to Mastercard?
