Re: BoA Forcing People to their APP for Free Fico Score

Can you update this for us, @gdale6? It looks like you're the only one who isn't seeing a FICO link on BofA's website.

Many companies are forcing people to apps now. Some electronics can't be set up or used/maintained without apps nowadays. Sooner or later you might not have a choice.

Unfortunately, from a compliance standards perspective on accessibility, FIs have to provide an alternative method without 'forcing' individuals to a mobile application. Individuals have choices, and if that's the way a business wants to conduct their UE it's perfectly fine, but an individual can choose or decide if they want such technology -- or not (i.e. not purchase such electronics or goods).

I mean, I like innovation and mobile apps as the next guy, but individuals still have choices.

Really, it's how it should be. There shouldn't be limits on accessibility.

That's what I told Venmo. They were not impressed. Smiley Sad

The link provided by socalgardner did not work just sat there and spun. As of right now Fico score is back under tools & investing, most likely was a temporary glitch on BoAs end or even possibly my browser.

I'm willing to bet you weren't logged in when you tried! Because that's exactly what happened to me when I tried--but wasn't logged in.

I'm guessing it was just a glitch, as no one else reported it. At any rate, I'm glad it's resolved--you might want to edit this thread's title to reflect the fact that BofA has *not* done what it appeared they had! Smiley Happy
