Hey everyone just wanted to post a positive credit event and of course ask a question. So I've had the bread American Express card for about 7 months they started me at $4,500 last week they raised me to $7,000 so I decided to shoot for the AAA Signature Visa with 5% cash back on gas and was just approved for a $16,000 starting limit - my highest to date! I'm elated! To the question: I was just curious to see what the cap was on the 5% cash back on fuel. Some say it's only $4,000 annually, is that the case? Any insight would be greatly appreciated thanks very much. Also they pulled from Equifax, and I live in northern New Jersey. I figured this may be pertinent information because sometimes the pulls are geographical, thanks again!
Congrats on the approval and nice limit!
From their website:
With the AAA Travel Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card you can earn 5% cash back on the first $7,000 spent on gas & electric vehicle-charging purchases in a calendar year, then 1% thereafter.

I assume you're talking about the AAA Travel Advantage Visa, a card which I have.
The cap for fuel is:
Maximum of $350 USD in cash back in a calendar year on the 5% category
So that translates to $7k a year in spending. I personally couldn't spend $7k a year for fuel if I stood on my head.
Congratulations!
Is the 5% gas $350 CB/yr cap shared with the 3% cats or is the 3% uncapped (or has its own cap)?

It's all by itself.
The 3% categories on this card are not capped at all.
Using your AAA Travel Advantage Credit Card you will earn:
5% cash back for every $1 of Net Eligible Purchases made on gas and electric-vehicle charging purchases. Maximum of $350 cash back in a calendar year on these purchases. Earn 1% cashback on all net eligible purchases thereafter.
3% back in Cash Back for every $1 of Net Eligible Purchases made on grocery store, restaurant, travel, and AAA purchases. Grocery store, restaurant and travel purchases are as identified by Merchant Classification Codes outlined in the Bonus Cash Back for Special Offers section. AAA purchases include participating club purchases made through AAA.com or through your local AAA branch.
1% back in Cash Back for every $1 of Net Eligible Purchases made everywhere Visa is accepted.
Yes, that is in fact the card I am referring to. Now that I know you have it I'm even more elated! Thanks brother! Also I too probably couldn't spend $7,000 on fuel per year. I suppose I found my gas card. Thanks again!
Oh, while I have you: lol is it true they integrated the bread American Express and the AAA card under the same app umbrella? Thanks

1. I don't know anything about any other Comenity cards, so I can't answer your question about the app.
2. This Travel Advantage Visa is a great card in my opinion. No annual fee. 5% cash back on gas and EV, 3% cash back on dining, groceries, and travel.... I think it's terrific.
As do I - agreed!
I can confirm that my AAA Daily Advantage is accessed and serviced through the Bread app. I can only assume the Travel Advantage card follows suit.
