good deal.........think I'm gonna do the same thing. It just pis*!es me off to think I have an interest of 28.9% on a card that has an advertised maximum of 22.9%.....just got off of chat with Cap1 it doesn't seem to matter to them. I'm going from being neutral with Cap1 to short of joining the Cap1 hater convoy.

Is this something new from Cap1 ?
How long have you had that card and how many times have you sucessfully requested CLI?
They only allow SP CLI at the most every 6 month I believe.
I have my QS since Dec 2013. At 6 month mark, I requested online and was bumped from 3k to 5k. At 1 year mark, I requested twice and 1 month apart without any success.
Couple days ago (1 year and 3 month mark around there?), I heard Cap1 seems to be giving out large CL to new apps. I decided to try my luck again online and I was bumped from 5k to 7k.
It's interesting that they approved me in the end even though I only put less than $10 on this card each month and PIF every month before statement cut for at least the past 6 months. Maybe they saw larger purchases on my other cards with higher CL?
Doing weekly CLI request will probably not hurt but I think monthly request is probably more reasonable epecially around 6, 12, 18 month mark etc.

That's what they say, but in reality many people are getting bumps at much quicker intervals than six months,

This makes sense.
Just because you can "request a CLI" does not mean you should do it every stinking day
