I don't think it would take you 75 days to get your card. But I believe it will have the same number, think it may PC the diamond preferred. I have the citi secured on my 4th month so a long time to go until mine gets unsecured. I only have $200.00 CL and don't use it that much. Let me know what card they send. Congrats on having your card graduate.

Right now there's no negative on my report
You said your Fingerhut account was charged-off. That would be a negative.
Nice. The good thing is you are able to get your money back while keeping your credit history. Some cards will never un-secure unless you cancel the card.
@Anonymous wrote:Hi all,
I've been trying since 2015 I have applied for cards but couldn't get anything in 2015. I decided to start with a secured CAP1 but closed it after a few months when Rep told me that don't upgrade to unsecured which was misinformation by that person. Closing that card took a dip I didn't know at the time closing cards can make it worse.
In May 2016 I applied for the Citi secured card which was approved for a $200 dep. They said 18 months to mature that came & went nothing in Nov 2017 I received a notice from Citi stating that they're giving me another 18 months on the secured card which will mature Dec 29th, 2018. I was so discouraged I realized patience is the key with anything credit. There's was 1 late payment that was reported in July 2017 but I didn't have a late payment with Citi I called & they said they never reported to EX. I went to work starting to pay half of the card instead of the Min. The first year I had some months of using up most of it but still paid more than the Min like 50 a month & not missing a payment. Yesterday I received a notice saying Congrats! we're upgrading you & will send you your Citi preferred card within 75 days. They didn't say how much I'm approved for. They're sending me a check for my $200 dep. In July they emailed me saying Congrats I can apply for the Citi preferred since I've been a good customer I did that same day & was denied. I thought they said I'm getting an unsecured card now I was so upset. I'm so happy to be out as I recently hit fair credit score. I'm still building. I have no loans yet only credit cards, I tried 1 small loan but was denied in a few months I will try again. I don't have many cards either.
I got these in 2016-
Citi secured $200 May
Victoria S $500 Nov I have 2 more payments & will cut up the card since this card doesn't do much for me & they're exp I'll pay it off.
Fingerhut $500 Sept I did miss 2 or 3 payments it went into charge off in Jan 2018 I paid it off this in s closed.
Jan 2017 I applied through Amazon & got a Chase card with Amazon logo it was $1,500 but got closed by chase error on the reports says closed by grantor. I have $454 left & hoping to finish it by end of the year.
CAP1 Sept 2017 unsecured $300, March 2018 they added $200 more. Nothing else since then in the new year if they don't increase me by then I'll ask for one.
Will it actually take Citi to mail my card that long? Oh no annual fee on the new Citi will be same card #
Hey,
The Fingerhut negativos will still be under your credit profile for awhile and the loan that you applied for and got denied will count also as an inquiry which might make it a little dificult to get more cards, specially with the missed payments (2-3 is considered a lot I believe)
Citi is actually pretty slow when sending cards out (personal experience), it took me around 2 weeks to receive my American Airlines credit card.
