great flood of info coming in-thanks!!!
I will definitely be more cautious in the future when talking with CC companies and such so there won't be anymore confusion on my part.
As far as my CO's go, both Chase and Cap1 gave me the option of settling with them for less than what the balance had ballooned to after I got sick (and stupid about bills) and couldn't work to pay them, so that is what I did. This was back in 2004/2005 when I had NO CLUE that by doing so my credit would be shot for quite some time-BOY LESSON LEARNED : ( (I was 21 at the time)
So oracles I don't think there is much I can do about those right? I will just have to wait until they fall off I'm thinking....
LOVE THIS BOARD : )

Well since you paid it off already, the only thing i could advise you to do is to write goodwill letters to both Cap 1 and Chase.
I dont know how they are but you should still try.
Also do a search on here for "goodwill letters chase" and then "goodwill letters cap 1" and read some threads regarding success with these companies.
Also do a search on examples of goodwill letters
hope this helps
