Looks like you are on a similar track to mine. I've had the Platinum for 9 years and after an initial jump (after PC) to $1250 I had three consecutive jumps of 3k ($4250, $7250, $10250 where it sits now).

somewhere in the last 3 years I switched to the quicksilver and bam got $1250. I do use the card quite frequently. I only asked for an increase one time when I was at the $1k mark, turn down. Fast forward to last week I received email from them logged in and they increased my limit to $4250. Wow suprise. Not sure why I keep using the card, loyalty I guess all while having a NFCU $9k, Discover $8800, Chase $5k going way back 10 years. Hey maybe I’m outta the bucket.🤣
Those that are able to escape a "starter" bucket from Cap One are definitely outliers, as the vast majority report being stuck in it forever. Keep in mind this is relative to that specific account, where tons of these same people report applying for a new CO product and being approved with a SL many times greater than the CL on their "starter" account.
I started with the Platinum card back in May 2017 and have only received one step CLI to $500. I upgraded it to the QS and haven't been able to get an increase since. They won't even increase mine to $750...
Does anyone know if you can PC the QS to a different card like the Venture or Savor?

Keep in mind that a PC to Venture won’t change your bucketing and you can’t PC to Savor/Savor One currently.

I did a PC from Platinum --> QS --> Savor, but that was before the Savor was an AF card. Not sure if it can be done any longer.
As mentioned above, though, a PC doesn't change the odds of a CLI, as it's still the same account. Think of it like a new paint job on a car. Different look, but same car.
I had a BK07 in 2012 due to medical bills, got a $2k Platinum card a few months later. Cap1 was not included in the bankruptcy. Two years later I fell behind due to a job loss, then got a new job and paid the card off in 2015. They immediately gave me a new $3k card, which I PCd to a QS. I had a CLI to $3,500 after 6 months, so it must've been a credit steps card without my knowing. After that I had a few years of only $100 CLI offers, which I never took. In May 2018 (under the new Cap1 system where you ask for how much you want) I asked for $1.5k to bring it up to $5k, and they offered $3k which I took, taking me to $6.5k. In December I asked for another $1.5k and again they offered $3k, which I took, so I'm at $9.5k. I'll probably stick at this and try for a better card in a year or so, as my best score is only a 666 Exp, so I need to improve that.
It could be that I'm in a $10k bucket, but I was still surprised and happy to get the increases I got.

That's how you change up your Cap One PC card? Wow. I've been afraid to call and ask.
At first, about 15 mos ago, I had $300 on my PC, then $500 after 5 month's review (which actually took seven with activation and monthly statements). I asked for an increase five mos later, I got $100. After a year! I was pissed!
I applied for a Citi card offer I got in the mail. Citi DP gave me $5500 SL with an increase to $10k last Oct. The next month, I apped a Discover It offer and they gave me $6500 with an increase to 10k also in Oct. Suddenly, even my Wayfair went from $750 to $4k by Nov.
Then, the Cap One PC jumped to $6k last Dec.
Yeah, I guess getting better cards help? LOL.
But, I just go to that link to ask for an upgrade? Is it easy? I would like to change my Citi, too, but I may just get the Citi DC and not risk the well used and paid Citi DP.
However, ... about 2 or 3 yrs ago, my mom got a Cap One QS and neglected it, putting me as a co-user. It shows up on my credit! It has never been above $1250. Will her dumb card screw up my newfound love from Cap One and deny me a chance to get a QS myself, or a Savor? 😕
Also, some online points guy said Cap One limits you to 2 cards. Discover, one per year, Chase has 5/24 rules, Citi is once every few months, etc.
Is that true??? Cuz if so, I feel screwed! 😥
What are the limits for how many cards each bank can give??? 🤨
The link will show you PC options if they are available and you just select which one, they mail you a new card, done.
AU cards don’t cause problems unless they have high utilization.
Capital One allows you to have up to 5 cards between branded and co-branded but they will only allow you to have 2 cards that are Plat or QS1 (these are still included if they have PCs to other cards). Again, AU accounts don’t count here.
No problem! Best of luck!
