I won't say that I'm not at all worried about it, But I am going to be watching my accounts pretty closely with them and continue on my way.

Ya what can you really do right?   I will make a nice $40-50 dollar purchase of gas tomorrow as a token of good faith... but still paying the balance before statement cuts as it is 0%, so it shouldnt matter Smiley Happy

Re: CHASE FREEDOM CLOSED!?

I'm going Monday and withdrawing all of my money out of my Chase accounts. It's so bad that it's kind of scaring me to trust them with it at the moment.

As I stated, they won't be making another cent from me. All of this because of a $50 gift card. Just great because this probably interferes with my AAOA.

Re: CHASE FREEDOM CLOSED!?

Seriously. Again? Another chase story. I'm over here getting worked up over the fact that chase maybe shutting accounts down for no reason.... I don't have nothing to worry about as I don't buy GC's I guess. Good luck OP.

Re: CHASE FREEDOM CLOSED!?

Well I just bought $300 in southwest gift cards....

And I'm gonna buy another $300 pretty soon. xD

Also, all of these posts about accounts being shut down are coming from the Chase Social Media Team, simply to discourage anyone from MS.

I don't get it why is buying a GC against the terms and conditions? Especially aound Christmas.

Makes you think doesn't it....I don't have near that many, but several hundred dollars in a few days time when statement cuts.  or 110$ worth now since I got an adjustment when I met my threshold since I was under the 100$ bonus vs $200 originally

No where does it say buying gift cards is against the T&C. It essentially says, in broader terms, that manufactured spending is.

As I've said in the 30,000 other threads before this one, there is two sides to every story.

Every myfico thread should really need to be started with:

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth"
