Declined due to credit lines too high in proportion to my income! The letter references Experian but I don't yet know if it was a hard pull or not.

If you go might as well go big.

I got interested so i called up Citi and spoke to a CSR. She said that the enw form does indeed sometimes result in a hard and advised me to just do the request over the phone as she would be able to see if it was pre approved and could still stop it before it went to a hard inquiry if not immediately approved. This is just what i was told by the CSR so it definitely isn't  completely verified.

Just pulled the trigger on Home Depot (CITI). Asked for $1500 to add to my measly $500 CL. Got the we will let you know in 7-10 days. Afraid its going to be a hard one.Smiley Mad

I just went online to pay the balance of $166.24 before the statement cuts on the 24th. I noticed my CL is now $2K. Thank you Home Depot.

So far I have not received any alerts. I use Amex Credit Secure. I keep checking and so far there are no hard inquiries.

Would it have shown up by now if they had pulled a hard?

I have Credit Secure and it usually takes them a day or two when something new happens, it's usually not immediate

Re: CITI CLI Success

Well...I was reading this post and decided I would be brave and see what would happen if I requested a CLI. I haven't gotten one on my account in about a year and a half.  I filled out the form, got to the verification page with no offer, hit submit and....got the "we will get back to you in 30 minutes".

I got an email about 20 minutes later saying they approved my request.  I requested $1000 and got it.  I'm happy with that Smiley Happy
