not a problem.

I got it via chase private client banking. I just got the card recently so I can't really say anything about the perks yet, but so far everything is great I suppose. I'm just using it till 100k spend and then the card will be used mostly for its perks. It's a hidden tradeline as well so I am able to put a lot of charges on it without having to worry about a card being maxed out.

Re: CITI Cards

Do you need an account with CPC? Can you inquire about it then ultimately ask for your Palladium card be vetted by a CPC associate?

Currently, I think you do need to be CPC, or at least be close to meeting CPC requirements, and therefore classified as a "prospective" CPC.

The requirements for the Palladium are constantly changing, so just keep a lookout from time to time. Early last year anyone could apply but submitting the app via fax, but they have now closed that route. Underwriters for the Palladium now do verify banking assets on top deciding approvals / denials.

You can sweettalk for a CPC associate into submitting an application for you, but he/she will may need the branch's manager approval as well. Your banker will also need to submit an exception form and explain why he/she is vetting the app. So there's a chance that the app may be declined at underwriting as well even if you find a banker that's willing to help.

Alternatively, if you have any banking / investment relationship with JPMorgan or Chase private banking, including 401k that is directly managed by JPMorgan, or a mortgage underwritten by their private bank, then you also qualify for the Palladium card, since you are considered to have banking relationship with JPM.

EDIT: also to add, when my banker was doing my palladium app, she also included a printout of my banking balances, and also asked for a copy of my citi statement. she then faxed the app and these documents over for processing.

I believe so, though it may depend on your department and job position. For instance if you are a JPM investment banker, you should be able to get that card much more easily. I'm not too sure about their internal policies though. Best for you to check with HR or your manager.

And yes, currently CPC. But I have 0 investment products with them. I told my banker I want none of that crap and she understands.
