CSP Question

So i plan on apping for the chase saphire preferred soon. ive been leaving a small balance on my freedom card for while about 8%. Now i just got a discover it card. One of  reasons i got this card was to get one CL closer to 5000 because i have read that chase likes to see good use of a similiar CL my previously highest was 1500. What are your suggestions should i PIF on the discover it card or would chase like to see a small balance and than PIF a month before i app??

How long have you had the Discover card because Chase likes to see some history of using a card with that range of limit. Chase is also INQ sensitive and new accounts may hurt YMMV

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I just got the discover card this month that is why im gunna wait 3-4 months before i app. So my question is should i keep low balance on it like my freedom or just PIF to show regular use of the CL.

And i only have 1 INQ which is from discover

Doesn't matter which one you leave a balance on IMHO I would leave the balance on my freedom since you want another Chase card but I would use the Discover card as well and PIF
