CSP mid-cycle payment

I'm new to this comunity, and fairly new to this game and I've got a question about my recently aquired CSP card. I made some larger purchases when I first got the card and then made a payment on it roughly a week after recieving the card and the payment has been recieved and noted, but my available credit hasn't rebounded and still reflects the purchases that I made.

Does Chase not credit mid-cycle payments? Its been about a week since the payment was recieved so I would think that would be ample processing time. Thank you everyone for your input and I look forward to learning a lot from this comunity.

Re: CSP mid-cycle payment

If the payment is posted (rather than just pending), it counts. Chase probably hasn't released your available credit due to the large purchases and large payment on a new card. It's not unusual for card companies to do this, but we don't hear about Chase doing it often. As your account ages a bit, I think this will stop.

Re: CSP mid-cycle payment

+1 it's likely due to the account and the link to the bank account being new.  I often make mid-cycle payments on my Freedom or CSR if I've only made small purchases, especially immediately after a large payment has been made for the prior month, to force them to automatically report the account balance as $0 to the credit bureaus.
