Hello all...
For any of you that have been approved for the CSP first, how would the CSP CL affect the CL given if approved for the Freedom? Would having the CSP make it more probable in getting a signature level Freedom? I plan to app for the Freedom in 2 months, when my CSP hits 6 months. Thanks as awlays for your input.

Do you get the Freedom signature automatically if the credit line is greater than 5k? I had thought this is the case. If so, then the question is will you get a high enough CL. Having a chase card for six months with great payment history will go a long way. Given that you will have history with chase by then and your large amex credit line I would think you should get at least a 5k line with the freedom which would trigger the signature status.

Thank you for your help, Red...this is what I am hoping for...I don't need any more toy limits...lol.
My 3-4 month old CSP is $5000. I just apped for Freedom and was given $3000. I am not sure if waiting 6 months would have changed my initial Freedom starting limit though. I also got my CSP on recon, and Freedom was instant approval.

Looking at your profile and score I don't think you'll score a Freedom under $5K, tbh

I think six months makes a difference with chase. I have a vague memory of chase reps telling me that cards less than six months old are considered new accounts, so there is something to the six month line.
If it counts for anything, I only had the Citi Sears for a little over a year and the Barclaycard Apple for 6 months, with the limits in my signature. I applied for the Freedom last week, just got it today, it has a $7k limit and came as a signature. Given your stats, I would think by comparing you to me, that you would get a Freedom Signature. I'm not Chase though.
Cheers!
I apped for the CSP in person and was told 7-10 days. Approved 3 days later for $10K. I then apped for the Freedom online and got instant aproval for $13K.
Scores were pretty close to yours right now and I had one existing TL that was $10K at the time. I didn't have any other active Chase cards at the time.
I doubt you'll have any issues getting the Signature Freedom. Go for it

There's no direct relationship that excludes all other potential factors. It varies with one's credit. How it affected me was that I hit my internal limit with Chase (2 other Chase cards opened between the CSP and Freedom) and had to reallocate to open my Freedom. Again, YMMV.

I got the CSP and then (stupidly) applied for the Freedom a week later. I wanted to get the 55,000 bonus on the CSP and $200 bonus on the Freedom.
I got $5,000 on the CSP. Was initially denied for the Freedom (7-10 message), and then approved on recon for a $1,000 CL. The woman said it was an auto-decline because I had just recently been approved for the CSP.
The number of cards one can app for within X timeframe will also vary with one's credit. I was able to get 2 Chase cards instantly approved within a day of each other.
