Thanks in advance. Any advice for when I call in?
Yes, it's possible, but it's dependent on meeting Discover's internal criteria to combine them. How long have you had each of your Discover accounts?
One is 5 years old and the newest is 8 months old.
Results can vary with your most newest account, but reference the thread below for DPs. Depending on the outcome and/or if you are successful, be sure to post your results so the community has the most up-to-date DPs:

Thanks Fin! On hold now seems I qualify but is it true a $20k limit triggers 4506?

There can be any number of situations that could trigger a 4506 review. Unfortunately, we are not privy to Discover's internal algorithms to provide the specific reasons, but having a $20K isn't necessarily a hard-and-fast rule to trigger things.
SUCCESS!
I combined my Discover Chrome opened in 5/21 with a $4200 CL. I only used it three times for a couch and electronics spending about $4k and paying it off in 6 months. Never got a CLI. They closed the Chrome and moved it to my IT card. The catch was I had to qualify for a CLI first on the IT card which I did $500 CLI. I now have my original IT card of 5+ years with a $21.5K CL and one less card to monitor.
Thanks for posting your results @tussking and congrats on the Discover account combinations. Glad to hear they're still doing these for those folks who want to maximize (or simplify) things 👍
that's interesting, i thought the card had to be open for a minimum of 1 year, must be the one that you combine it to that needs to be open for a year, and a cli on that account appears the important dp is the cli offer... I currently have two ITs (one open 3 ish years and one open for maybe 5 months) and wouldn't want to merge them before I get my cashback match for the year.

Get your match first and combine. Yes the original one needs to hit a year. I sleep on my Tempur-Pedic cash back match every night. ![]()
