@Anonymous wrote:I just called a couple of days ago to have my Cash Reward's card PC'd to the Quicksilver and the CSR told me that I would:
1. Not be able to PC right now, but check back in the middle of the month.
2. it was also interesting that she asked me whether I was asking about my HSBC account, because HSBC rewards accounts would be upgraded to quicksilver. When I asked her if my account (since I don't have an HSBC rewards, but a non rewards card) would be upgraded, she said I would have to wait until the middle of the month when I am scheduled to receive more information regarding my account.
I just received an email from Cap One regarding the transition and I should be looking out for an email the middle of the month which will give me information regarding adding my HSBC card to Cap One online. It all pretty much adds up to the possiblity that my HSBC may definitely be upgraded to a Quicksilver.
Hmm you're the second poster that has mentioned this. Looks like I may end up with 2 Quicksilvers instead of 2 Platinums.
I was very happy to get my card reward program upgraded here to the quicksilver program and considered it a personal triumph. 1.5% back on everything is great! not much less then the 2% cards I have whenever they go down the drain
Capital One Quicksilver- $5,400 | Chase Freedom - $8,000 | Chase Freedom Unlimited- $13,000 | Chase Amazon -$5,000 | Priceline Visa -$10,000 | US Bank Cash+ - $18,200 | Fidelity Visa -$10,000 | Sallie Mae- $10,000 | DCU Platinum $12,000 | Discover IT - $10,000 | Amex EveryDay - $25,000 | Amex BlueCash Everyday- $9,800 | Citi DoubleCash - $18,000 | Sapphire Preferred- $13,000 | Freedom Unlimited- $7,000 | Blispay- $12,000 | Chase Sapphire Reserve- $18,000 | Consumers Credit Union Visa Sig Cash Rebate- $25,000
I chatted with a gent on Friday, told him the EO upgraded my Cash Rewards card (Green) to the Quicksilver rewards from 1% to 1.5%
I told him that since I already had the rewards of a Quicksilver, all I wanted was to get the Quicksilver image and change my card. He said please wait as I research some information, and after 3 minutes, he said: "Your new card will arrive in 7-10 business days.
My account was oppened 3 weeks ago, and the Execute Office refused to change the image. The CSRs somehow did manage to change it.
If you get your request denied, just hang up or close your chat window and try another CSR.
I got my Cash Rewards Card (Green Colored) account upgraded to Quicksilver too over the Capital One Chat service. The rep also mentioned I will receive a new card in 7-10 business days with Quicksilver desing and need to destory the old Cash Rewards card.
I have no plans to PC since my platinum mc is great! Not sure how I got this but the version I have includes 2% cash back on grocieries/gas and 1% on everything else. This was a steps program card (started at $300 then increased to $600 at 6 month mark)). I recieved a cli up to 5K after speaking with EO approximately 4 months ago. I don't think CapOne offers this card version any more. I got this card 02/2012
That's really weird...I also got the No Hassle Rewards credit card with 2% CB on groceries and 1% CB on everything else. But a couple months ago I logged in and the rewards had changed...I still have the No Hassle Rewards blue card (that looks like the regular silver platinum but with a shiny blue color instead), but the rewards page says 1.5% CB on all purchases.
I just find it weird that upon inquiring about a PC to quicksilver (since i technically have the exact same rewards and terms), they said i had no offers...i guess i'll call again since they decided to change me to 1.5% on their own and i was quite happy with my 2% back on groceries...ugh.
They said same thing earlier last Friday on chat that 'no offers available'. They changed the product for me today on chat as well. You might try again. By the way i did receive a brochure in mail about their new cashback program.
in your case that blue chasback card is still available. in my case they discontinued the Green Cash Rewards card program (the one which was offering 1% cashback on everything)
I guess they could change the rewards anytime they feel like it for my Platinum MC too (2% gas, 2% groceries, and 1% everything else). I will keep a look out for any changes.
So after I chatted with the online rep and got my account changed to the Quicksilver account, which I was told would happen after I activated my card, I activated the card.
I then logged in and checked and it said the account is a Platinum, not a Signature as I was told it would be. I then called CS, which was a US call center because of the type of account it was, and they verified this. I do have the Quicksilver rewards, not truly a Quicksilver card, and it is not a Signature Visa as I was told it would be. A little bit of misinformation there. I kinda feel like it was another aspect of Capone not really saying the facts. But, at least it is a Quicksilver Benefits package.

Which card did you have PC to Quicksilver? The $3500 wouldn't qualify. I would think the $5000 one would automatically be a Quicksilver.
