I have a cap one card that i have had since Jan. 2011. I have maxed this card out and paid in full 6 times($500 limt) and made 5 dollar over min payments the rest of the time to show i am willing to make min payment so they can make some interest. Does this even help with trying to get a CLI with the company or should i just put it in desk at home and forget about it? I would fired them but I don't wanna take a AAOA hit.
I do the opposite, since they're such a back-asswards company... I chase my individual charges with a payment for each. I don't expect them to do what I need, so why should I let them gain max profit from me? The Exc lines have been over abused, and most that think they deserve CLI's usually don't. No proven method works, but time, and more time....unless there's an AF attached, then get a better card to replace the line, and dump the sucker.
Your average age of accounts shouldn't be affected, with exception to the new card ding, but even if that cap one is closed, it'll stay on a reporting basis for the next ten years, as a positive indicator. I'd be more worried about utilization first. Points recover. Age takes time.

Don't get this. In theory, the way to minimize Cap One's profit is to PIF as close as you dare to the due date. By giving them money after each payment, you are helping them, they are no longer out the money they paid the merchant.

Automated clearing house fees, by means of smaller transactions that happen frequently. It is their server I'm using after all... Am I hurting them? No.. Am I annoying someone there...probably.
Ok.

Sorry, I would guess "No!" Unless you are buying and paying thousands of time per second, I doubt if your extra traffic is visible at all!
Of course, this does make your statements longer, so additional storage and printing (if paper) costs, but I doubt if anyone could notice.

Keep in mind that there are many others in ficoland that do the same as I do. On the grand scale of things, it's an annoyance to all CC's.
I see nothing wrong with trying to cost a company that you feel has wronged you, but automated clearing house does not really cost that much. Each transaction is only a few cents, so say $.10. You have to do it ten times to cost them a dollar. Wire transfers are also actually pretty cheap, even though places may charge $25 for them. They can also restrict your ability to submit multiple payments per cycle. Some companies already restrict it to only a few per statement.
I request paper statments for companies that wish to be rude.
