Cap one CLI and then Account Combionation

I was able to combine my two Cap One accounts today into one 16000 cl.   Both accounts opened in early 2015 and have climbed steadily from 500 starts to 9000 and 7000.

Just got cli's on both on Saturday.  Made sure both accounts showed 0 balance and combined them today.  Love this feature Cap One allows.

Worked really hard this past year to grow my credit and this is just another stepping stone.   Building limits that are usuable without the constant monitoring and also to take the number of active accounts down while still building available credit.  And as a bounis I got to earn a little extra cashback for money I was gonna spend anyway.

I just did the same thing, recently... Cap1 has been relatively stingy with CLI's for me, so 7 months ago, I checked th prequal site and opened up a new QS1 and a new Platinum with the plan of just combining them in 6 months to raise my limit my main QS1.  1 month ago, I requsted a CLI on my main QS1 nin prep for combining, they gave me $500.  Then I said what the heck, and requestede a CLI for the two NEW cards....  Bumped each up $1,000.  Then I did the account combo...  Now I have card with a decent (to me) limit of $7,750.  I still have my Playstation card, which also got bumped up last month sitting at $2,000... First CLI for that one in the three years I've owned it!

Forgot to mention that step.  I did that about 3 months in.  Thanks for the suggestions though.  That's what led me to be able to do all this.   The helpful advice of all the great posters on Myfico.
