Cap1: Journey to QS PC Success! First Post

I’ve been lurking for months on here and I have finally decided to make an account. Smiley Happy

In August I got my first ever credit card and since then I’ve been obsessed with credit cards, loans credits scores, etc. As a 20yr old in college I decided to apply to my first card (Discover IT) and was approved for $1k, I also applied for the Cap 1 journey credit card the next month and was given a $300 CL. Thanks to the user “ClassicMan” I was able to PC my journey cc to the QS using a link that was provided by him.

Can’t wait to further expand my knowledge regarding credit cards and other loans. Much appreciated.

I would post screenshots of the pc but I currently don’t know how. Sorry if this post doesn’t belong in this board.

Congrats and welcome!
Manage your cards correctly and don’t buy things you don’t have the money for unless absolutely necessary. I got a credit card when I was about your age, made one late payment, and the interest went up to 29.99% I was fresh out of a school and right for money, so I made minimum payments. After a while realized I was hemorrhaging money and wasn’t paying hardly anything on the principal. It spooked me on credit cards, so I paid it off, closed the card and didn’t get another one for over 20 years. I now know how to play the game.

This forum is great and there are a lot of helpful, knowledgeable people here. I have totally changed my credit profile and put together a really nice arsenal of cards that are paying some serious cash back and SUBs with the help of the fine folks here!
Our credit card journey started 3/2018

Hover over cards to see limits and usage. Total CL - $608,600. Cash Back and SUBs earned as of 5/31/24- $21,590.43

Congrats on your cards. You have great starter cards and a really early start. Never pay even a minute late on any card and with regular use, you'll have a great score and nice credit lines down the road.
