Cap1 Plat upgrade question

OK, I am still fairly new to this, but I have read that many people upgrade their Cap1 cards to a better card. I would assume that the next best card to my Platinum is a QS. Since I just got approved for a QS and have a Plat, would it be possible or advisable to try to get my Play upgraded to a QS? (so I would have 2 of the same) The only benefit I can see other than if I ever needed to use both cards would be if the APR was lower than the Plat.

Re: Cap1 Plat upgrade question

It's fairly easy to upgrade Platinum, just chat online and ask for an upgrade.

They'll allow you to have two. When both accounts are 6 months old you can even combine them into the oldest one, or the one with the lowest APR. Your perference.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if this was a stupid question or not. Smiley Wink

Re: Cap1 Plat upgrade question

Well, that was easy. Took 5 minutes on chat. Seems silly to have 2 of the same card (one MC, one Visa) but since I am building, I think it should help.

Re: Cap1 Plat upgrade question

Glad to hear it worked!

As I mentioned, in the future you can combine the credit limits into one card if you'd prefer one larger card once they're both 6 months old.

Those cards should do you good in building!

Re: Cap1 Plat upgrade question

So when I upgrade from QS1 to QS do I get a new card?

Re: Cap1 Plat upgrade question

QS1 and QS are two different products.

The difference is the annual fee. You should get a new card when you upgrade but your account should stay the same.
