I don't think the regular BT checks Cap1 sends out can be direct deposited. I've never seen that specific verbiage on mine.

Go online then and just have Cap1 send you the no hassle check. When you go in to apply for a BT, there is a blue link to click to make the check payable to you.
The same terms are online as you received in the mail. It usually takes about 7 days for the check to get to me. It's made out to you and is a real check. Then mobile deposit it. All done and won't get the 5th degree from a teller :-)
Thanks for this information! I didn't know I could request a check for direct deposit.
I've been getting transfer fee checks, QS offers 1% and QS1 2% transfer fee.
This is rather strange... the last two times I've taken advantage of access checks I've deposited them into a Wells Fargo ATM... in both cases the full amounts were available the next day.
If it were me, I would ask the teller specifically what the issue was; as long as you're depositing them there should be no problems.
However (with a big 'H') if you asked to cash the check and didn't have at least that much money on deposit you can expect to get push-back... this actually isn't uncommon at all. ![]()
