Somehow I have found myself on a Cap One blacklist, and I had no idea they even had one.
I had 2 charge offs in 2017 that I actually paid IN FULL in 2018, and also had a car loan with them at the same time that was never late and fully paid. I have tried sporadically over the last six and a half years and it stills says they can't prequalify me due to previous activity on a prior account. Has anyone found themselves on this elite blacklist before?
I've seen it mentioned before. Never saw a resolution because everyone starts saying there are better cards out there and the threads follow.

I do have a few prime cards (WF that graduated from secured, NFCU Amex, and a Delta Amex [$1,000 SL, no CLIs in 3 years]). Maybe I'll just wait until the end of the year when the last of my COs fall off and try for a CLI on one of my primes.
Cap1 is one of the most forgiving banks out there! They even remove collections much sooner then 7 years.
Having said that, if your score is low or credit not clean very likely you going to get a bucketed card once they do offer them to you!
There are many cards out there that can grow, don't concern yourself with Cap1 too much.

Thanks! My scores are 660 and above and I have 3 charge offs that are over six years old and will fall of this year and 2 lates that are four years old. I'm just confused, especially since I paid them in full and never missed a payment on a 30k car loan. Weird. I'll stick with growing my current cards when my COs drop off.
