Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

@ysettle my mailbox would be full monthly. Could you imagine all those denial letters though.

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

Just tried to hit up Cap1 for an increase a few days ago. They gave me a denial saying I couldnt have one cus I just got my steps increase like a month ago. Do I have to wait 6 months from now to ask for another? Or can just ask at random times and see if I get lucky. The last time I got a self initiated increase was June.

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

Steps CLI resets the clock. I was told the same thing by a rep via chat. Sooo 6 months from your steps CLI. Might get lucky and be granted one earlier, but that would be the exception to the rule.

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

Got mine with a starting limit of 15k in july. Ran 6k plus and payed in full every statement that cut. Just asked for a cli at the 3 month mark and got a 3k increase

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

Hello Ysettle4,

It is different for everyone and depends on individual credit profile. For myself (I am still building) it was " Not enough time has passed to establish payment history" so I patiently waited used the card a lot, always paid on time. Right at the 6 months mark, I was able to get a bit of an increase, waited another 6 months and received a bit more. I did enjoy not having to call in for CLI's.

hope to have some of the limits that you have soon. : )

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

I opened Venture card  on August 20, 2105 SL of only 5K. I ran 3K through it by mid October for 40K bonus. Started hitting the cli luv button mid October after 2nd statement but only getting $400 increase.Smiley Mad

From reading here on the forum, I turned down the small increase and hit the button almost every day. Today being roughly day 74 I  hit the button and BOOM!!!Smiley Very Happy There was the 3K cli that I was waiting for. Went from 5K to 8KSmiley Happy

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

I've read 4 months for first one.

I have not ever seen credit steps CLI resetting the clock?  Or am I thinking backwards. I know steps increases disregard the current clock. Didnt think it reset it tho.

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

I got my Steps CLI a little over a month ago for my QS. I just clicked the luv button for that card, and received the "wait for a response" message. I assume that this will be a denial. I'm not really bummed, since I was just testing it.

I got my Venture Card at the beginning of Oct, so I'll hit the luv button on it in a couple months, and post my results here.

Re: Capital One CLI initial request timeframe?

I got mine roughly at 75 days, went from $500 to $1500. I wasn't spamming the cli button though so I might could have got it before that.
