Hi question. I have a 4 month old cap one card that i have never missed a payment for and have a 50% utilization on. I recently wanted to make a payment for 20.03 to bring the balance down. But for some reason, the bank occured a error and the payment was sent back to my bank, now my card was restricted. this is not the first time this has happened, i went to make a payment on the card and forgot to change my bank info over to the new one and that payment was denyed. But i did resubmit the payment with no issues.
Is my card restricted for good or can i have it reversed? The card is in good standing.
What does Cap1 say about why is it restricted?
So, there have been two instances where a payment had been returned to Cap1 by your bank for insufficient funds? I understand that Cap1 is pretty nervous about things like that. I don't know how long the restriction is and the only thing to do would be to call. Maybe call the backdoor number?
Use the number with xxx-707-xxxx. That gets you directly to the Sr. Account Manager's escalations department.
i have not used that number, i used a xxx-239-xxxx, but they said once my new payment posts monday (weekend) i will have to call and it will get lifted right away. Not a fraud thing, just a payment got recalled thing.
They were cool about it
