Hello,
I wanted just to let people know that I was suprised and happy to find that Capital One is instantly updating my available credit after payment with Debit. Tried in in the day and also late evening. You can add a debit card thru App only. Before I only found it on the IOS app but recently it's also an option on the Android app.
This is nice to be able to free up credit as needed instantly. Specially if you have, as I do, a small credit limit. ($300).
This can also be usufull in cases of emergency to rent a car.
By the way I converted my capital one from Jouney to QS.
Cap One is pretty good at that. And congrats on PCing to QS!
i wasnt aware you could pay your credit card bill with a debit card my capital one bill is due tomorrow guess ill try it it out thanks
I don't see this option in the iOS app. Help?
What are you talking about?
In the android app: click your profile picture, you will see Personal Info, Security, Settings,...in Settings you will see Apps Setting, Accounts Settings ....and underneath there you will see "Add a Credit Card Payment Account", "Activate a Credit Card", "Request Credit Line Increase"... you click the "Add Credit Card Payment Account" and you will see two options: Add bank Account and Add Debit Card.
On IOS, click Profile picture, you will see Personal Info, Security, Settings, Help, .....Click Settings, you will see App (submenu: Quick Balance Widge, Languange settings), Accounts ( Sub menu: Account Display Options, Activate a Credit Card, Add a Credit Card Payment Account,....)
under Add Credit Card Payment Account you will see two options: Add bank Account & Add a Debit Card.
I'm not sure if this by Product Type or not. My card was Journey received 6 months ago. Online they displayed a message saying you can't add a debit card thru the web, you can do so in the app only. I check the ANdroid app there was not the option. I check the Ios and the option was there. I used IOS to set the debit card. Then I was able to make payment on the web site.
Few days ago I pced to QS after reading this board. Then while checking the Android App, I came accrros the option.
I'm saying this because I'm really not sure if any of this is depedent on the type of CC. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the heads-up... it's nice to know there's a last-minute option! ![]()

I took a look at my own accounts on Android and I also don't have the option, but it is nice for those who do have it.
