Capital One (PC Question)

Hello All,

Thanks to the support on this page, I was able to successfully change my current rewards card to Quicksilver.  I wasn't, however, able to get the signature version because of the fact that I currently have a MC.  She said the option to get a World MC wasn't available either.

Has anyone ever been graduated to World MC from a basic Platinum (Newcomers) MC?

Capital One doesn't have World Cards do they?

I never understand why one would want Signature... doesn't really do anything as far as I'm concerned

I believe the Newcomers Platinum MC has a cap of $3000;  that is why I was hoping to get a higher tier card.

Sorry for the thread jack.. but can someone tell me what the 'newcomers' card is? Is that for people new to credit or new to the country?

I have a newcomers Platinum MC as well. I had a $2500 limit. Last month, I emailed the EO, and got my limit raised to $3500, as well as a 1% rewards feature as well. Not quite Quicksilver, but a good step forward!

Oh wow, so you for certain have the Newcomers Platinum Cash Rewards MC card with a $3500 limit?

Yes... I have had it for just over a year now. I started at a $2000 CL in June of 2012, and bumped to $2500 with the credit steps program in December of 2012. I emailed the EO about a month ago, and got the $1000 bump to $3500.
