Hi, It looks like this card helps a lot to everyone, I got mine today, my question for you is, how long do I have to wait to get this upgrade? I know I can Increase my CL every 5 months, but I don't know how to this this upgrade, thanks for answering and good for you!
First of all you can get a CLI every 6 moths not very 5. From your comment I assume you are on credit steps with a Platinum MC. You get the CLI after 5 on time payments, that means after your 6th statment cuts as you have no payment due until your 1st statement cuts.
As to an upgrade I'm not sure how long you need to wait. Just keep in mind that if you do upgrade your Platinum to a QS then the QS will still be considered a Starter Card and CLIs may be limited.

Welcome, @Anonymous. ![]()
You'll probably be eligible for an upgrade when your card is about six months old or maybe a little sooner. I'd start calling in or chatting monthly beginning around month four.

I have a couple credit cards, and I applied for this without knowing that it was for rebuild or start credit history, but they approved it so, I'll keep it, that's why I wanna know when can upgrade it, because I want to have a biggest credit line, any recommendations? They gave me $500 CL. keep it or cancel it and apply for a new one QS?, now I see here that when is upgrade, they don't charge you for the annual fee. Or am I wrong? I don't have too much experience on CC's. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
There are 2 versions of the QS there is the QS1 that has a $39 AF, and the QS which has no AF. The AF is the only difference between cards. So you may or may not get an AF depending on which version you get.
You say you are looking for larger CLs. Can you tell us what are your FICO scores (not vantage scores form ck). What cards do you have with limits and current balances. Do you have any negitives on your CRs?

My credit score on EX is 672, in TU is 656 and Equifax is 680 it was 693 on EX, but recently I applied for two credit cards one on Amex (Blue Cash Everyday $1000 CL) I was approved and this one Capital One Platinum, and dropped down to 672, I have Cash Back Rewards BoA ($5000 CL with about 57% of debt) and PayPal Master Card ($2,000 CL) don't have any negatives on my account, all bills paid on time, I have 12 IQ's on EX and 6 on TU, but i don't want to apply for more, because I don't want to screw up my credit score.
Definitely don't apply for anything else until some of those Inquiries drop off . Once you have had your Amex BCE for 61 days you can ask for an SP CLI of 3X your current limit. You need to get your balance down on the BOA card at least below 29.9% and for the most bang for your buck get it below 8.9 as soon as you can.
I don't know if BOA does HP or SP for CLI someone, but else here probably knows. You may also want to institute the AZEO method. basically you pay all cards except one to zero before a statement cuts. Ideally the card that has a balance will be below 8.9% util.
Does your Paypal Mastercard appear on your CR? I know there is some type of paypay account that is hidden. If yours is on your CR you might also see if you can get an SP CLI on it.
Do not take any more HP for new accounts or CLI.

@Anonymous, Bank of America changed its CLI policy about a month ago. You can request a CLI and expect a soft pull. Although customer service reps are still telling people to expect a hard pull, nobody here has reported that happening.
Here's the massive topic:
Here's the huge thread on the AMEX 3X CLIs. Because of its length, I'd suggest reading the first few pages and the last few pages to get the gist of it.
