Not that long ago I wouldn't have qualified for it myself, so I know where you're coming from.
That said, just set it (or something else) as a goal... you'll be there before you know it!
Oh I am just being sarcastic. I like to think I am beyond Cap 1 now. I like the QS but there are better cards out there now and I will go for those. I will trim Cap 1 with the other fat when the time comes as they have served their purpose.
1 - You mean Cap 1 couldn't come up with a better design than that, its just the reusing of the Platinum card design.
2 - 2% on Groceries is pointless to me, do we know if the 3% "Dining" is on all restaurants? From The Carlton to Cheesecake Factory to Chipotle to White Castle? or just "FULL SERVICE" Dining?
3 - I'll probably keep chugging along with my QS ... I just prefer simplified static cashback rate to categories for my Everyday card.

Yes, this is where my head is these days, too. The 3% back on restaurants would be huge for me, but I have decided that I am officially done with CapOne. If they don't close my FrankenVenture One (many old cards rolled into one) for non-use first, I'm calling to close it as soon as I get under 10% overall utilization. (I'm getting 2.5% or so off my total util by keeping it open.) Their refusal to give me CLIs or APR reductions, and giving me my first denial for a new card in at least 15 years when I i tried the "app for a Big Boy Venture and close the acquired brand card" approach last month has soured me on them permanently.
For what it is worth, I just tried to PC my QS MC into the new Premier Dining Rewards card via chat. No go. I was told that the card is available to new applicants only and, at this time, is not available as an upgrade. No timetable as to if or when it will be avaiable as an upgrade.
As an upgrade, it may have been worth it, but not worth a triple hard pull for me for a new app.

In some cases this might be a better option than Quicksilver; in my own case I might try to get a PC for my old QS MasterCard that I'm just keeping around since it's my oldest bankcard.
Here's a direct link for more info.
Thanks for the tip, UncleB!

Definitely will be PCing my quicksilver for this one! I don't think there is any other 3% dining card out there that has no minimum redemption. That beats AARP and Sam's Club MC! However some Chase UR folks would benefit more using points vs cash.
Great find. I may have to apply with those benefits.

Can't PC for this card right now, TPG
I can confirm PC is not available as of yet but will be in the future TBD
Has there been any definitive confirmation on what "Dining" entails?
Any and all food-related merchants? Fast food, "restaurants", as well as fine-dining? Including everything from McDonald's and ChikFilA up to things such as Mahogany and other "high--end" restaurants? Or is it only sit down restaurants? I couldn't find any clarification on it within the terms.
FWIW, I attempted a PC on my QS and there were no current offers yet. Although my QS isn't quite a year old, so that could also be playing into that decision as well.
When it hits the 1 year mark.... I wonder if my QS would be ineligible for a PC strictly due to it being a VS? Could I PC across card companies (Changing my QS VS into the Premier Dining WEMC)? Or is that a total no-go regardless of card/account elgibility?
