Re: Capital One Product Change on Bucket Cards

Hi @Anonymous

I want to stop by and say I am in the same boat.

I have been trying to get a PC on one of my CAP 1 cards for a while now, and no matter what way I go

  • calling on the phone
  • calling at a later date a few months or so apart with spend on the account
  • calling speaking to a manager
  • calling a back door number that I don't have offhand found through a form.
  • Try the PC link.

No luck at all; at this point, I am just waiting on it due to it was one of my first cards like yours self, and for some reason, they don't want to PC anything against cap1; every one usage and experience is different, and I understand that.

I hope this helps and that you can get a PC in the future.

Total Credit Line Summary (TCLS)

AMEX: $52,450
NAVY: $50,000
Sync (Sam's Card and PayPal Cash Back): $30,000
Mix of Other Cards: $25,000 – These are used for various expenses, including holidays and other purchases, with balances typically paid in full or kept at 1-2% utilization.
Total Credit Line Available: $180,000+

Credit cards are for emergencies (like tacos... just kidding). Use them responsibly!

Re: Capital One Product Change on Bucket Cards

How long does it take on average for someone to be able to PC their QS1? I waited over 6 years to PC my QS1 to the V1 but I was lazy and never bothered checking for upgrades until over 5 months ago. On May 22 my PC to V1 will be 6 months ago so I will see if I can upgrade to the QS at one point. I opened my own QS almost 5 months ago so once that account hits 6 weeks I can see if cap one will allow me to close that account and transfer its credit limit over to my V1 that hopefully will become a QS within the next couple weeks.

So you were able to upgrade your QS1 to a V1?  My current QS1 is so bucketed and can't even request CLI.  Last CLI I requested wad denied stating "A credit limit increase on your account is not currently available upon request".  Maybe it's because I received a CLI on my QS that was PC'd from a Platinum.  I just want to get rid of this $39 AF.

Re: Capital One Product Change on Bucket Cards

Yeah I was able to upgrade it. It has a $3,500 CL but started at $300 when I first got it. It is my oldest account since I was new to credit when I opened it. The venture one is a terrible card though.
