I guess higher CLI are based not so much on score but income because. I don't believe I would get a $3,000 CLI baseed on my income even if my score were 700+
You'd be surprised. My total CL is nearly twice my annual income. And I think I'm on the low side. (I doubt anyone here is making a quarter of a million dollars, and yet there are at least three people on here with that CL) This touches on one of the most sensitive subjects (perhaps the only thing more difficult than asking someone what they make is answering that question), but unless you are making less than $10k a year, a $3k CL shouldn't be that difficult at all.
Mylargest exposure is over 25% (quickly approaching 30%) of my salary, so without knowing what you make, I would think that $10k on Cap1 is do-able.

i know of a few that probably make about a half million or more.
but i have a card that's 66.66% of my annual salary lol. with that lender i have about 158% of my annual salary alone.
Usually, people making half a million a year have better things to do than troll the internets. Just sayin'
Capital One must hate me. You all have great stories. I had the platinum card since 2000. Started at $500. Never late. Good utilization. Took forever to get to $750. Then offered the QS1. Used the pattern of using a small amount and paying it off each month for six months, then hit luv and bam $1000. Problem was my new Navy Fed card was approved for 20k, then a couples months later 24k without asking. Six months in I hit the luv button and now only 2k. This QS1 limit does nothing for me.
My scores now are high 700s low 800s. No baddies. I'm going to email the CEO.
not sure about your stagey there, I think the best route is to beat the card up a bit and then pif after the statement flips. I hit my plat 300 hard so I think it works based on my cl. I just got a 20k venture and already put 10k on it in 2 weeks. i bet I get 3-5k when I cli it. just my .02

I got approved off the start for $10k QS last week with roughtly high 760's- low 770's scores...
I was really surprised cause I really only have one real card with $5k limit (other one is old Chase card that I had sitting since college with 1.5k limit that I haven't used in years) and Citi DC only gave me $3k the same day... so the $10k REALLY surprised me... I didn't think I'd get anywhere close...

you're best off just apping for a normal QS or something else from them. the mastercards are easy to get stuck with low limits for YEARS. betcha if you apped for a normal QS or venture then you'll get a respectable limit
My Quicksilver WMC is at $51k. It started as a subprime Plat MC with a $300 limit.
