Hello all, been on the boards for a while now, since last August and have been follow the advice here to rebuild my credit. So I opened a capital one secured card with a $200 deposit in October. So I just checked my email to find that they increased my limit by $100 not much but a good start. I think the low CLI is because of my scores aren't still that great. Hopefully in 6 more months I can finally break a 620 credit score across the board.
Hello, Congrats on your CLI!!
I have a few questions. I opened my Secured Card in Sept 2010 with 200.00. I always charge it up and PIF before the statement cuts. I also have added another 150.00$ to the card to bring my limit up to 350.00$ My Seventh statement cut yesterday and still no CLI. I was wondering what was your usage and did your CLI happen on a statement cut?
Ive noticed that Cap 1 Soft Pulls also every Month but Im not sure for which card it is for. I also got approved a month later for a rewards no hassel card at 500.00. They gave me a CLI of 250.00$ last month.
Mine did not happen at a statement cut. Maybe in a few weeks.
Great thanks that was helpful. I still have hope then
Yeah mine happened after the billing statement
As far as usage its been all over the place from 20-75% of limit but I always PIF, but this CLI came with a usage if 10% idk if that matters.
Thanks!!! My statement just cut yesterday so maybe sometime in the next week or two I hope for a CLI, but Im not going to hold my breath. Ive had it Since September but only had 7 statements pass.
I was told by Cap1 that the only way to get a CLI on their secured card was by depositing?!?!? i have a $700 limit from deposting, I want a CLI!!!!

I have been to that too. It's not true though. I called one of the backdoor #s and a Sr. Manager said that you can receive unsecured CLIs...
