Re: Capital One Soft Inquiry...What is RTPM?

RTPM = Real-Time Performance Management

It's an IT package that can be used for data collection & analysis, amongst other things.

PRM-CAPITAL ONE - RTPM   01/07/10

do u have or had a cap 1 cc? i know this is what collections do when they are trying to find someone, i know this happen to me with an old bill back in 2001. er solution was the CA. (directv)..they did a soft pull on 06/09.....Smiley Sad

Yes, I have a 9 year old Cap One card.  No, the account isn't a collection account.  My credit is pristine.    I searched google without finding anything.  I doubt calling customer service will get me an answer.

I guess Capital One invented some type of unknown acronym.  Maybe it means a long overdue CLI is nearing.  Wishful thinking.

hey i not mad at cha, cli sound umm umm good ...lol

It can't be a collections issue.  First of all, Equifax reports the pull as 'promotional."  Secondly, I have never had a CapOne account.

It also isn't the CapOne auto finance people because their promotional pulls are "PRM-CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINANCE"

sorry this was meant for DI......

Just a wild guess here...

Could it possibly be related to a pre-app on the lender's website, to see which cards might be approved later with a hard pull? I'm thinking that the "RT" portion of that code may mean "Real Time", which could make sense. And it would be a promotional inquiry, just customer-initiated.

DI, did you do anything on Cap One's website earlier this month, such as check on other cards they might offer to you?

Yes, I checked to see if I had any pre-approvals.  I do that every month and never saw the RTPM.  I was thinking RT means real time too.

I kinda have some marketing in my background and this acronym probably is "Real Time Product Management"
But that's just a guess.
