I actually got a new offer just now. I was offered a lateral move to a Venture One. I have never qualified for a V1 before. No AF and:
Not accepting but its nice to see a new offer.
Mine was showing change to my existing VentureOne or Quicksilver before, now just Quicksilver but of course with no change to the ridiculous APR.
@MyLoFICO great to see you again, hope all is well!

Thanks. I am here from time to time reading. Just not doing well financially so working a lot of OT and not making any progress. January will be a deciding point for me.

I don't think you mentioned in the other topic that your card had rewards. You already have a QS1. Your account is simply showing the MasterCard branding. For a while, all three of my cards showed Visa/MasterCard branding. Now, two of the three are identified as QSes while the third QS is identified as a World MasterCard.

Ouch 10 years? If mine doesn't upgrade within the next year, it'll be closed. Im not willing to risk 3 hp in hopes that they'll treat me better either. This card is my oldest open account, lowest limit, highest apr, and has an AF. Not looking so good for ol Cap1 lol.
Yeah, I'll probably end up either writing a letter or sending them an email. I'm not opening a new account with them after this.

I suppose as far as features/benefits are concerned, it's essentially a QS1, but it's identified as a Platinum MC.

It's common for them to refer to any card that started off with a credit line of less than $5k as 'Platinum', even if it's a Quicksilver (or other). Once the credit line reaches $5k sometimes these cards are changed to Signature/World during a PC, but that's YMMV.
Due to the number of 'Frankencards' Capital One has out there I'm not saying this is definitely the case with you, just that it's possible. ![]()
My cards have vacillated back and forth. For a few years, my cards were identified with the Capital One branding, two QS1s and a QS. When I got new cards, they changed online to Platinum Mastercard, Visa Platinum, and World MasterCard. Then when I upgraded the two QS1s to QSes, they went to being identified as Quicksilver.
Anyway, I assume that you have the same Platinum MasterCard QS1 that I had. Use it each and every month, and call in about offers each and every month. How many consecutive months of usage do you have under your belt right now?
Data point for anyone interested, I upgraded using the link above and my credit limit was unchanged. I was able to requeast a CLI a few weeks later, about a statement before my Credit Steps.
So PC's do not affect Credit limit timecycle.
