Their CLI's stink though. Tried a couple different times and all they would offer was $300. Not worth the CLI. I just take the 3% back and pay it off every month never carrying a balance. I'll ditch Cap1 as soon as I find another card I like that give CB on streaming services. Walmart is kicking them to the curb so I really have no reason to stay and they don't lower interest rates so they really have no appeal.
@BudC2 you may want to take a look at the Amex Blue Cash Preferred for your streaming services. It gives 6% back on streaming services and groceries and 3% of gas. It actually categorizes a lot of purchases with Apple as "streaming" too. I get 6% back on any Apps that cost money or have reoccuring app subscriptions such as NBA League Pass, any Apple subscriptions (such as iCloud storage, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple News, etc), media purchased from Apple, Apple Care. I always make my $95 annual fee back by February each year. The rest of the cash back earned during the rest of the year is all profit. The annual fee is usually waived in year 1 as part of the sign up offer. I've had it since 2020 and have always come out way ahead every year!
You would have to perfectly max out your yearly $6000 grocery cap at 6% CB and then spend $3500/yr in streaming at 6% CB before the $95/yr BCP has a benefit over no AF card(s) that give 5% CB in grocery and streaming.

I appreciate the suggestion but I have a personal policy of no AF, no exceptions. The only reason I even have a Cap1 card aside from Walmart is because I got it many moons ago and just never got rid of it. I'm pretty much a Navy Fed loyalist because they've always had the card with the lowest interest rate of all. You know, before the fed got involved and messed things up.
I don't understand the point of PCing a Capital One card.
Losing out on the sign-up welcome bonus $ and losing the 15 month 0% APR is a big no to me.
I think most people who want upgrades have one of the subprime Cap One cards like a platinum or quicksilver and probably don't want to open a new line a credit. Remember, Cap One hard pulls from all 3 bureaus for applications. For me, I have a quicksilver and want a Savor One, but I don't want it enough to apply for new credit, if that makes sense.
I have a savor one (good credit) variety, they offer me a quicksilver or venture one, yes they offer 1.5% back or 1.25 miles, but as a member of an older crowd, my husband and I like to go out for a meal or a movie a couple times a week. And it does offer 3% on groceries. We get our groceries via pick up service at Wally World so we get 5% back on those with Walmart Mastercard. So none of the upgrades they are offering me, wouldn't be beneficial to me!! I keep what I have until a better offer some day!!

And if you add to your "break even" BCP equation $6,000 in gas at 3% vs $6,000 in gas on a 5% card there is a loss $120 for the BCP

Exactly. I simply ignored the 3% cats as those can always be bettered.
Thank you for your feedback . I to will wait until there is an upgrade offer for Savor Cc. In the mean time my QS Cc's are in my drawer and used once a month. Congratulations on your Well Fargo Cc. I have the WF Bilt, Autograph and Platinum great bank.
