Just ask Citi to reinstate your Double Cash account. It has no annual fee, and as you point out in your original post, it has the insurance you want.
I learned this the hard way this week when I realized that the AMEX Platinum and the Chase Marriott cards don't have this benefit. I think I should look into getting a card with the cancellation benefit...
