OP, I'd thread carefully with Amex in your case, but that's just me
This. I don't understand why AMEX would have an issue with charging on your card unless there was an issue with the charges themselves that got flagged. A FR is a pretty big deal that is triggered by more than recent huge spending. Either way tread carefully indeed you're already in their radar no need to poke the bear further til farther down the line when you got positive history with them.

What were the additional risk factors you think Remedios? Not sure what else there was to the story.

I wouldn’t push Amex. Unlike just about every other issuer, they aren’t really a fan of you actually using a 0% intro period.
But I definitely wouldn’t put any card up to 80% utilization either.

Well I mean it’s my story so I know it well. Lol. I just mean what other risk factors did you see? I hadn’t had any issues with Amex before I charged the 12k. Encompassed in that is the gift card purchase I made for my work. But not sure what other risk factors I displayed?
The operative word being *before*
Seeing that they reduced your limits after the review, it's obvious there was some level of concern on their end. Carrying a high utilization for prolonged period of time will do nothing to alleviate those concerns.

Yes. I'm guessing the biggest factor in their reduction is my reported income. Can't remember if I said this in the other thread but my fiance and I have pretty equal incomes and I was using his income as a part of my income reporting to Amex because of the fact that they say include additional income available to you. But when I told the rep this and asked if she wanted his income information, she told me that engaged is not married and people break up all the time. And while yes that is true, I did find it a bit funny that that was pointed out to me. Like oh really, is that how that works?? lol.
And question answered. Will not charge the timeshare on the card to save on the interest. Not worth freaking out Amex.
I don’t know, OP, this could be treading murky waters.
It if were me—and I was determined to pull the trigger against all “don’t poke the bear” advice—I would at least call AmX first and explain how you want to do a BT to save interest on another bank card, and ask if it would create any problems like AA. Also, have a $ amount in mind of how much you would pay back monthly (~$1K a month).
If it were me ...

I'm not going to do it. But just to clarify, it isn't a balance transfer. It is a purchase.

Thanks for clarification. Yep, I think you’re making the right decision at this point in time.
