I have an interesting question...As most of us are aware, it seems that an AU card on a Chase account has both the same card #, and CV3 as the main card.
So, if one were to cancel an AU card with Chase, would the AU card still work? After all, in almost every case, the only info that is transmitted for an authorization is the card #, and expiration date for an in person transasction (Maybe it's different for a chip card?)
Any thoughts?
The chip or magnetic strip of the two cards are different. So Chase can still tell if you physically use the cards.
If you remove the AU card, the AU still has access to the CC remotely, but not physiclally with the card.
Let me try tomorrow. I just took DW off as an AU on my Ritz which has the same info. I'll ask her to try it tomorrow and get back to you.

Are you sure?
One of my Chase CCs has the bonus to add the AU and the AU uses the card. I did add the AU and the AU physically use the CC. And the bonus just got posted. So I'm pretty positive about it, but not 100% though.
The requirement is that, you add AU and the AU uses his/her own card. If the cards are the same, how can Chase know it?
