Were the hard inquiries combined since you applied for both cards on the same day?
I had 2 HPs.

ok, well then the only other options here are to A).call and take a HP for a CLI and risk only getting $500 min or none at all, or B) combine the limits.
I would personally go with "A" if it came down to it. Its just a HP, and some folks here make out to be like it a life and death situation to take a HP for something. If you want more of a CL, then call and take the HP. If you can wait it out, and you have other cards you can use, then do that.
I'll probably do that once my 2016 summer of stupidity HP's fall off.
Chase CLI Strategy:
1) Obtain Magic 8-ball
2) Shake said Magic 8-ball vigorously
3) Ask "Magic 8-ball, will I get an automatic CLI from Chase?"
4) Pray
Some data points:
Got my only chase card Slate, in April 16' with sl of 2,000. I was wanting a higher line for a balance transfer but still used it for around a 1,000 transfer. I hardly ever used it besides that and I have pced twice now. Slate -> FU -> Freedom. So in about a year and a half I have never gotten a cli, I even asked by private message if a non hp cli attempt was doable and they said no. Probably has a lot to do with the fact I never use it.
I have the Amazo rewards visa and out of the blue it automatically went from $2000 to $4000 after having the card for eight months. Funny thing is I only put $250 a month on it in the bonus categories. Just a data point for everyone. I am a prime member. Maybe that has something to do with it.
A little over a week ago I received an Auto-CLI of $1k from Chase on my Amazon Prime Rewards VS. I've had the card for about 10mths and used it infrequently when I received it at first. The past 2-3mths I've been putting about 20-30% of utilization onto the card and paying in full.
I have both the Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimted cards. Applied for both back in May 2017 with SL of $4000 each. I have probably put about $1k on each card and pay on them monthly (one I paid off completely and used for Christmas shopping since I have about 10 months left of 0% APR.)
Anyways, I have not received an auto increase on either account. Not really wanting a HP to get a minimal CLI on these accounts. Just glad I have the available credit to use in case I need them. Congrats if you get an increase, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for one...
