@Anonymouswrote:The data points (for years) with Chase is that auto CLI is given mostly to folks who show very high utilization and then pay it off, but it isn't guaranteed. Some folks get auto CLI after doing a big balance transfer and it off.
MOST folks with big Chase limits did it by opening a throwaway cardmand rellocating credit limits when allowed. AARP or Disney are common cards to open, reallocate limits and close.
This is exactly how I got my one and only CLI on my single Chase card. It was my first 4 digit limit after starting my rebuild in '14. I got a Disney Visa with a SL of $2,250 and kept it in the 60-75% UTIL range until early '17 when I paid it down to 0% from 80% and one cycle later they auto bumped me to $5,500. I have requested a CLI since while at about 28% UTIL but no dice. I am going to test the strategy again in the next month by paying it down to 0% and see what they do.
This chart will show the pattern !
Chase FU opened Dec. 2016 $1500 have run over $20K and still no Cli as of 3/7/18! It's my daily driver go figure!!!
