The first thing you always do when you get your card is setup online access and a pay from account.
After that, raise the spending ever so slowly if your profile doesn't support it.
chase bank is so lame like this. yes its better to not have fraud but i could live without them sometimes. they have done the same thing to many people. call the fraud department and the executive office. thats one reason its the last card i reach for if i am paying in public. you never know if the thing is going to work. amex and boa ALWAYS work.

AMEX has their famous financial review. You go to use your card, and then BAM it suddenly doesn't work, which happens quite frequently compared to other issuers.

They freeze new cards for a number of reasons: app sprees, sudden high utilization across all cards, and (most frequently) attempts to meet the spending goal for the signup bonus at breakneck speed through non-organic spending. In each case, the cardholder is engaging in behavior that implies a desperate search for new credit and bonuses, so Chase wants to re-assess their risk.

yeah well its a little bit BS when they have even frozen your online access and say that you need to use a different computer and reset password. like seriously? u send cards that say they need to be activated, yet online they already are, and because of making a few charges under a dollar online just to be sure it works the whole thing gets locked. its just idk. i love chase for their awesome deals, but if you dont bank with them u are screwed... its like even small stuf not out of state. who freaking does that over a charge under 20 bucks. get real. thats why any time im doing anything with other people i always reach for BOA or Amex first.

My CSR is my first ever Chase card; I received it less than a month ago. I immediately set up my bank info in order to make payments. I’ve charged about $2,400 thus far on the card (SL is $34k), and was just billed for the AF. I’ve made 4 payments through Chase.com and am about to schedule a 5th even though my first payment isn’t “due” until March. I thought I might upset Chase with so many interim payments, but maybe this was a good thing to do??? One of my purchases was for furniture costing $1,600 which I paid the minute it went from “pending” status to a balance status so I could pay for it. So far no problems with using the card. I like the card because I use it frequently for dining out and like the idea of 3 points/$, and find the website and hotel portals easy to use.
too late but you should have, imo, established a high balance for the account right from the start. this is not a $ 300 cap1 starting limit you have, use the card and pay before the due date. enjoy the card, with your scores you deserve it

spot on. besides nfcu I cannot dream of a more stable lender to spend with and sapphire it is not-outsourced, a big plus. 5/24 caused a flurry to get cards up front so in a way they caused much of the shut issues. amex has one a lifetime. they all have their +/- just hope the op can get past their situation, shame to lose such a nice card

I can name a few that are more stable IME. lol
Never a hiccup or card issue. That would be USAA, Citi Bank, Penfed, NASA FCU,, AMEX. I'm sure I can think of some others..give me a minute. 😂
I can make a large purchase. I don't have to creep around or tip toe with payments. I don't have to rush and call to say I'm going to use the card for what it is intended. Chase can be a little ridiculous at times. Not the worst lender but surely not the cream of this crop either.
I hope OP gets it straightened out. I suggest adding another solid lender down the road OP. One of the many reasons not to stack your eggs in the same basket.
