I finally have those cards in my wallet. How does the CLI love get spread? Who usually does good with auto CLI'?
Chase is probably the best of the 3 for auto-CLI, which isn't saying much. Discover takes awhile and Citi usually wants you to ask for CLI.
Congrats on the approvals. Chase and Discover are both good with CLI from what I have read but personally Discover is better with cli in my experience

I have all three plus AMEX that i have received in last 9 months. I just asked for first CLI with Citi and went from $5K to $6100. Discover had to ask and went from $5500 to $6000. Chase also had to ask and was denied, but called today and they recon'd it from $5K to $10K. Two months from now I will try for 3X with my AMEX. I don't like to wait for CCC's to decide when to give me a CLI. I ask when I want it or need it.
Went from 500 -> 750 with discover by auto today. My 6th month statement came out this past Monday. I'm anxious to see how Chase works out, but I know they HP when you ask them.
Chase gave me a 50% auto increase (5K to 7.5K) after two or three months (forgot when). I've just gotten the Discover IT also and was told they auto increase after 90 days provided I use the card responsibly.

In my experience, Citi has been the best with CLIs. They're usually not auto, but anytime I ask after 6 months I always get a SP CLI on my cards. Discover has been the worst for me. I'm not sure if it's because I got my Discover card as a student years back, but it has never received a limit increase and I refuse to take a HP for it. As a result, it sits unused as the lowest limit in my lineup. I wouldn't mind if they closed it down tomorrow.
FYI Discover is always a SP before it is a hard pull, while they might be a hard on CLI's its worth a shot, and if u deserve a CLI they will most likely give it to you.

I always had to call in to request one, and they have always insisted on a hard pull in the 2 years I have had the card. As I said, I'm not sure if it's because it was a student version but I have much better cards, so I don't bother anymore.
you can use the luv button through discover and get offered a soft pull cli or they are also very good with auto cli. they look over your account every 6 months and they usually give auto cli then
