Hello everyone, I have posted a couple times in the somewhat distant past, but definitely a long time lurker, and had a Chase 5/24 question. I did a couple searches and could not find an answer.
I am over 5/24 and did get around it with Chase Amazon back in December at which time I was 6 or 7/24 and was luckily approved for 12k SL. I have since added a WF Active Cash, 8K SL in January. Paying for my wedding soon so trying to add some 0 interest promos. Everything will be paid in full by at most July, but still. I also have a CFU I have had since 2017 that has been stuck at 3200 with one request for a CLI a couple years ago that was denied, after a double pull.
I am looking to add the Marriott Bonvoy with Chase as I have a longer stay at a Marriot property coming up for said wedding, so didn't know if there were any success stories out there bypassing 5/24. I did find a link on here to an article that mentioned the business version but not the personal one.
I do not have any preapprovals or check marks. My Bonvoy app does have a promo on it so didn't know if a more third party deal would help, but doubt it. Scores are 720-740, I think EXP was 726 last time I looked, which is what would be pulled I think. Thank you for your thoughts.
Amazon was kind of known to be one of the few cards getting around 5/24, and being at 7/24 or 8/24 now, I don't know if the odds are in your favor. This would be a very much YMMV scenario.

Unfortunately, the link you're referencing is not accurate and out of date (specific to the Chase Bonvoy biz version).
If you intend on applying, treat it as with any other 5/24 situation. There have been no DPs that indicated individuals circumventing 5/24 with this particular card, unless a pre-approved offer displayed online or via branch. The promotion is just that, nothing indicative you've been targeted with a pre-approved offer.
But, since you've added 2 additional cards, including the Amazon card in December, I don't foresee those odds being in your favor. You can, for science, try and see.

No one can predict what will slide under Chase's 5/24 radar but the recent approvals I have seen that get passed 5/24 on a cold app are Amazon, SW or United. Even if there were data points that some have gotten approved it is still YMMV situation as not everyone over 5/24 got approved for Amazon card even though some people, such as yourself, got approved.
Basically, what is your risk tolerance? How much do you "value" HP?
Thank you for the responses. Yeah I don't have a good feeling about it so I will probably hold off. The promo on the Bonvoy app was tempting saying it would be a 300 dollar ecard for you upcoming stay if approved but I highly doubt it would be. I will think about just risking the HP.
Maybe after some liquid courage, I do love playing the game, for science of course...

If and when this part comes into play, please report your results @Anonymous ...for science of course 😄
