I try not to read his posts anymore if I can help it. They all contain the same 5 or 6 macros pasted in.
While I agree that the posts are similar, we STILL get lots of posts where people ask, apparently seriously, "What is the best X card?" As long as people think that question is meaningful, takeshi74's responses have their place.
I read the following today on another web site. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, *** suggests that Chase will be launching a new premium credit card on August 21, 2016, called the Sapphire Elite Card. As of now we don’t know many details, though it’s suggested that:
Beyond that everything is pretty unclear at this point. We don’t know what the points earning structure will look like, or what the perks will look like. But I imagine the card is getting its inspiration from The Platinum Card® from American Express and the Citi Prestige Card, so I imagine benefits will be similar. It’s interesting that the annual fee will supposedly be $50-150 lower, though, given that typically all these issuers just match one another. It wil be a premium version of the CSP.

Enough with the shots at takeshi. Whether you like his posts or not he makes very valid points and more people should heed some of his suggestions. More importantly it's not your role to complain about other posters in a thread. If you have an issue with another poster either ignore their posts or complain to a moderator. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen you make similar posts and you're very close to violating our forum rules to be FSR.
No matter what, this card is undoubtedly going to leave the "Goldilocks" crowd unhappy:
The annual fee will be too high.
There won't be enough benefits.
The benefits are fine, but it is missing (fill in the blank) benefit.
It won't be made of metal.
The porridge is too hot.
Three words: Five twenty-four rule.
The sign-up bonus is too low.
The sign-up spend is too high.
The limit is too low.
The arrival packaging underwhelmed.
I am happy Chase seems to be competing with Prestige and Platinum. They will do a good job of it, I hope, and it means more competition which is always a good thing,
Update on my question about pre-release promo of the card:
Chase personal bankers are saying they're supposed to be receiving "marketing materials in 2 to 3 weeks".
All the rumors I have heard:
The Sapphire Elite Card will debut on Aug 21st, 2016
The Sapphire Elite card will enter the market as a competitor to high end/premium travel cards like AMEX Plat and Citi Prestige
Expect an annual fee to match those cards or be in the same ballpark
Heard of a fee of $300-$400 Card
The card will come with a 100k UR Point sign up bonus
Unclear on minimum spend needed to meet this requirement
Expect benefits to match AMEX Plat/Citi Prestige, unclear on exact details
Exact earning structure unclear
Unclear if AF will be waived first year
Card will earn 3X UR Points Per Dollar for travel
Card will be bonded metal not all metal due to costs
Will be a visa infinite card
I guess we will see what pans out when the card drops in a month.

When they redo them. I have a 5K iMac and iPad Pro currently and have the MacBook Pro on my shopping list.

Where did you hear that it was going to be a Visa Infinite.
