I dont think so gangof4.. I think its more of a spin the wheel type of thing
when calling. Do I get an offshore call center with no real authority to make decisions
of do I get a hold of a person who has that power.
Plus these companies get so many apps rolling through they
really dont care about getting trigger happy and deny you. So when
you do hit someone who actually looks into and says hmm
Based on everything you should be approved let me shoot this
app over to approval review.
The bad part about these offshore call centers is they make you think
they are important however they really are not because they really dont
have any power.
Actually let me rephrase that.. The CSR do have limited power to
keep your app when you call in that stall point from the automated deniel
system. And they can play with you when you call.
Thats why the backdoor numbers are so very important. It cuts out all
that nonsense and gets straight to the matter.
Today's update: Called in finally got someone who would do something, he said that he wasn't sure why it had been pending all this time but that I need to just get the 2 fraud inquiries removed from HSBC and I would be fine. Called EQ to dispute, they can't help. Trying to call HSBC now, does anyone think if I call back to chase and just kind of plea that hey I have done my part and it is going to take some time to correct it which is out of my control that maybe they would just go with that?
I'm afraid they would insist that they be removed else it's just your word to them against hard data in a credit file. But that's just my personal opinion.
I called back to talk with them, got a very rude rep who sounded like he didn't even want to be there. I asked for a manager and he refused to transfer me.
I know in the customer service world, most places if you ask for a manager and they refuse, they're fired. I've known a few people that worked at different places and this rule applies. I'd call back and be nice, but firm and explain what happened and see if they might take pity on you. I know anytime my cell phone company or cable company charges me for something I didn't order or overcharges and I call and complain and after 3 reps I can't get what I want, I just hang up and call back and say I got hung up on and they do whatever I want plus more... Of course the two are very different, just my 2 cents.
Additionally I have an update on my status. I called and talked with someone who finally could tell me something. She said they did have my documents, but the place that processes this hasn't scanned it so all departments to see so I have to wait until then.
I would not recommend lying to them. We hate it when cccs are not straight with us. Doesn't that cut both ways?
I'm not recommending it, I'm simply saying from experience if you've been hung up on, the reps are more sympathetic towards you. Junior actually got hung up on***EDIT meant to say actually got denied a manager***. As for my cable/phone company, well don't over charge me or provide a service and don't properly maintain it. If they want my business, they will correct simple mistakes. As for banks and creditors I won't lie, if they deny me service I cancel my accounts. They charge me incorrectly, well... that's what small claims court is for
I didn't call them back last night, I thought that was the best way to handle it. I'm going to call today if my Eq report has updated for the month. I'm thinking once my balances update that I paid that down maybe they would like to see that more then worry about the inquiries that will be removed within the next 30 days. Did you guys know we can't even dispute inquiries with Eq any longer due to the new law?
Also, a side question. Anyone here have experience with their cbr splitting and bumping inquiries?? I think it has happened to me.
I called today and was approved. Just wanted to let you know.
Congrats! What did you get for CL, what are your scores?
