There's been discussions regarding some people getting soft pull chase cli's. I called CSP customer service to inquire about a cli request. I asked if it's a HP or SP. Of Course she said it's a HP but then said Chase sometimes offers SP cli's on accounts and that she could check my account for such an offer. Unfortunately, I had no such offer on CSP. She said it would require an HP which I declined. Anyone considering a chase cli may want to call and ask if they have a SP cli offer on their account.

Calling doesn't hurt, but I think Chase is pretty good about proactively notifying customers about those offers.
I suppose it's possible that at the time of such a call, an invitation for a SP CLI could be in the post, or stuck in a junk email folder, or otherwise lost.
I got a soft pull CLI on my CSP a few weeks ago, but they sent me a snailmail letter offering it to me. It wasn't something I initiated.

Wow they're actually offering it to people now through snail mail? Whenever I got an auto-CLI via SP, I just logged in one day and noticed that my CLs had changed.
They never asked me if I wanted it, or even bothered sending any kind of notification.

Chase may just use the "potential SP CLI" notices when they want an income update.
congrats to you all. I'll never see a sp cli.![]()

Similarly, I've received auto-CLI's (SP) on some of my older accounts like Freedom (which I've had since 2008) and also CSP last year. I've also received SP CLI offers via snail mail and e-mail for some of my Chase accounts - almost similar to US Bank's pre-approved CLI offers.
Well, I hope to get some sp cli love. I read about chase when I got my csp card and pretty much made up my mind that I'm stuck forever with my cl. Just was going to merge cards in a few months. Alittle nervous about doing a hp cli, and get denied or worse a 500 cli. Lol

CSP is the only card Chase hasn't auto bumped for me. Same spend as marriott but nada. My theory is I used to use it to load Serve and set off a flag or two. :[
I have tried HP CLI only to get double pulled on EX and denied.
