Chase amazon prime and saphire CC keep decresing limits

Prime activly used 1k+ a months
and saphire just parked non interest benefit 8k for 5 months entry bonus,
every months adding 1k to account
Both limit down to amazon prime 7100
Saphire down to $6k CL  both at %85 limit which hurts credit score 64 points in one months
Probably will close both and never use them again
Why chase keep decrease limit whatevr you paid evry months (should stop pay until interest hits?)
Obviosly payments are against my credit utilization from 50 nd %60 now both are %85 utilzatin anyone have same trouble?
total scores goes down from 730 to 640 just in 3 months why would chase doing this?

Re: Chase amazon prime and saphire CC keep decresing limits

This sounds like classic balance chasing where the issuer keeps reducing your limit to just above your current balance.   They do this when they have concerns about the credit risk.   Often, once the balance is paid off, they close the card.   Is there anything in your credit reports (including other cards) that looks dangerous to them.

Note that not every balance chase leads to closure.   If you are able to convince them that things are OK they may stop, and eventually you can apply for increases again.   But generally check your reports and see what might spooking them.

no risk any other cards , but total is %40 due to chase no interest firs 12 months keep utilzation high i bought extra staffs for my biz and keep paying every month 3k  (only amex is %25 but limit is 30k)
if they dont like balance hold than do not advertise %0 for xx months lol, whatever
i dont care even if they close cards will go zero balance  in next 3 months, if i'd knew this wouldn’t  use their trap 0 intro interest trap.

Chase doesn't get spooked that easily.  Have you checked your credit report lately?  To see if anything derogatory has appeared?   You have been making over minimum payments correct or just min payments on all your cards prior to this happening?  As mentioned by other poster seems like balance chasing to me and is usually cause by one of the above two scenarios

Here are two issues:

 >30% balance on any personal CC is a flag, independent of APR. It may result AA by some lenders.

Placing large biz expenses on personal cards is another one. Chase has several excellent biz cards with typically 0% APR in the first year and not sure why you use personal CC for these transactions. It is highly recommended to put personal expenses on personal cards and separate them completely from biz. There are several biz cards in the market that address all biz needs.

You are incorrect.  I put all business travel and meals on my CSR card and simply reimbusre myself those expenses, why the hell would I not want 10x hotel and car rentals cards, 3x air and 3x meals.  All the rest of my business spend is on ink+ and Amex.

Chase doesn't have a problem with this.

Re: Chase amazon prime and saphire CC keep decresing limits

Since the OP is using his personal Amazon Prime card for large biz purchases, I guess Amazon Prime Amex biz card should give also the same rewards (5%) without AF. Possibly, having a personal Amazon Prime account is sufficient and there is no need to open a separate Amazon biz Prime account.

If somebody has Amazon Prime Amex biz card, please provide comments.

Re: Chase amazon prime and saphire CC keep decresing limits

Chase doesn't care business/personal nor does AMEX unless doing MS stuff.  I use Amex Amazon prime for both business and personal (mainly personal) and they don't blink an eye being Amex.  Not a ton maybe 10k a year on it, but majority of that is personal expenses.  Yes you do get 5% back just like Chases version only difference I believe on Chase's version you can do promo financing on some stuff.  Most card issues can really care less unless being abused by a form of MS such as charging business expenses and running them through your own business CC machine etc which is obviously a form of MS as that will and have gotten issuers attention.

Re: Chase amazon prime and saphire CC keep decresing limits

The only hifgh utilzation is amex %50
Chase flex %80 (due to limit decreases every month)
and same for
Chase prime amazon %80
Thanks for replies,
I m able to soon close all down to 0.00
total utilization with other cards %25 (many 0 balances cards)
Should I do drop all to 0.00 ? The bad i feel like chase will close cards.

+1

I'm with @CreditCuriosity  Still believe there has to be something else that triggered that reaction from Chase!

Given you have some utilization reporting for awhile, is it possible that you have been paying minimum payment for about 6+ months on some balances?
