Whether or not Chase reinstates my accounts is not really important to me. Now I'm just focusing on preserving my relationship with Amex and Discover because from my experience, those two are more reliable when it comes to charge dispute and purchase protection.
And even if Chase sticks to its initial decision, there's no more product I'm qualified for within the next two years anyway . I can always try to get in later on

Good decision. Hang in there...
Ok.. Over 100k in credit between you two in a span of a few months. I know you are upset but if you can, take your emotion and anger out of the situation. Pretend you are the bank and think from their perspective.
2 people from the same household. One closed their checking account or what ever they had with you if not both closing doing the closing. They then proceeded to open over $100k in credit in a few months. With one person in the household applying for 3 credit cards on the same day. Then proceeding to send a secure message to recon one of the applications..
Answer me this, if you were the banker, wouldn't you find this pretty suspicious? If I were the banker, I'd very curious what the people at the particular address stated on the application are up to...
My authorized user sent a SM asking for the reasons the accounts were closed, and as you suspect, it's Chase Fraud Department who replied his inquiry.

Thanks for the update. See, they probably suspected and thought there were some shenanigans going on at that address which has a little bit of truth to it if you throw in the MS as you stated.
Any update if the accounts are going to be re-opened?

The rep told me it would take up to 48 hours to reach the decision. Chase will send me a letter, but I think I will just call on Thursday to see if there's any update.
My brother freaked out when he saw the "fraud department" message. He's afraid that Chase is going to purse legal action, which is ridiculous from my point of view. Our total balance is $0 and he still keeps worrying lol

Tell him to relax.. Chase isn't going to persue legal actions.. Keep us posted when you talk to them.
If you truly cannot understand why Chase did this - then please go read up on the Patriot Act and money laundering.
So many accounts in a short span of time is certainly a Red Flag. So instead of worrying about reinstating the accounts (which most likely will not happen) maybe it is time to learn why it happened and slow down your "game". Chase has probaly filed a SAR on both yourself and your UA.
Not trying to be mean, but I am a banker and see this from the "other side" so to speak.
Good luck!
